Client Onboarding
– Respond promptly to inquiries via phone, WhatsApp, or email.
– Share my profile, license details, and services offered (life + general + health insurance).

Client’s Needs Assessment
– Conduct a comprehensive need analysis:
- Life protection (term/life insurance)
- Health coverage (individual/family)
- Asset protection (motor, home, travel)
- Risk exposure (accident, liability, critical illness, etc.)
- Capture details through a fact-finding form or checklist

– Explain product types:
- Life: Term, Endowment, ULIP, Child, Pension
- General: Health, Motor, Fire, Home, Travel, Marine, Cyber, Pet, Liability etc.
– Share benefit illustrations, premiums, and comparisons
– Disclose exclusions, limitations, and charges clearly
Proposal Form & Documentation
– Assist in completing the proposal form accurately
– Collect necessary KYC documents in digital form (Aadhaar, PAN, Address proof as applicable)
– Ensure compliance with IRDAI and KYC guidelines
Premium Payment & Acknowledgement
– Guide client on safe and secure payment methods (net banking, UPI, cheque)
– Share the premium receipt or transaction confirmation
– Ensure correct nomination is filled in the form
Medical/Inspection (if applicable)
For certain policies (term insurance, large sums assured, fire/marine), schedule
• Medical tests (life/health)
• Vehicle inspection (motor)
• Risk survey (property/fire)
Policy Issuance & Handover
– Follow up with the insurer for policy issuance
– Deliver the soft copy and/or hard copy of the policy document.
– Also explain:
• Sum assured
• Policy period
• Contact details for claims and service
• Free-look period (usually 15 days)
Post-Onboarding Support and Claim Processing
– Share simplified information about Claims process, Policy servicing (endorsement, portability) etc.
– Guide the Client on Claim Eligibility
- Confirm whether the loss/event is covered under the policy.
- Clarify exclusions, waiting periods, and required documentation
- Help them understand the claim process for their specific policy type
Claim Intimation, Handling and Settlement
– Help the client intimate the claim to the insurer through
• Online portals
• Customer care email/phone
• Direct contact with the claims department
– Collect and submit basic details
- Policy number
- Type of claim (death, accident, hospitalization, theft, etc.)
- Date and description of the incident
- Name and contact of claimant
– Ensure Timely Submission of Documents
- Share a claim document checklist (customized to the policy type).
- Help the client collect, fill, and submit forms such as:
- Claim form
- Death certificate (life)
- Hospital bills, discharge summary, reports (health)
- FIR, RC, photos (motor)
- Invoices, fire report, inspection (property)
– Coordinate with the Insurance Company.
- Liaise with claims department, surveyor, or TPA (Third-Party Administrator) for
- Vehicle inspection
- Home/asset survey
- Death claim investigation
- Schedule inspections or medical evaluations if required
- Track the claim status and give timely updates to the client
– Represent the Client’s Interests
- If the claim is delayed, raise a follow-up with the insurer.
- If the claim is partially paid or rejected:
- Help understand the reason
- Assist with clarification, additional documents, or appeal
– Educate and Set Expectations
- Explain the turnaround time (TAT) for:
- Claim assessment
- Approval or rejection
- Payout
- Clarify if any deductibles, co-pay, or depreciation apply
– Support in Payout or Settlement
- Ensure the client gets the payout in the right bank account
- Assist with NEFT details, discharge form, or indemnity if needed
- Confirm if TDS has been deducted and help with tax documents if applicable
– Document the Claim Process
- Maintain a record of all emails, submissions, and conversations.
- Update my tracker for future reference or reviews
– Post-Claim Guidance
- Policy reinstatement (if required)
- Renewal of remaining coverage
- Suggesting additional protection (if gaps are found)
